About Us
We are proud to share our
2025 Impact Report
- a reflection of the families, children, and communities we have supported throughout the year. This report highlights the difference we have made together through early intervention, practical support, and compassionate care, while celebrating the resilience and achievements of the families at the heart of our work. We are grateful to our staff, volunteers, partners, and supporters whose commitment continues to help local families thrive.

Red Kite Family Centre is a community-based charity dedicated to supporting the families and carers of children aged 0-5 in the surrounding area. From our sites in Thame and Chinnor, we offer a broad-ranging programme of play groups, activities, courses, and advice which provides an essential lifeline of help and encouragement to our users encompassing every aspect of their early years journey. We also offer one to one support to families in the form of parenting advice, help with filling out forms such as disability living allowance and school applications, confidential access to domestic violence services, support with job applications, access to food banks and referrals to other services.
Our Values
Welcoming – Everyone - Red Kite welcomes families and young children in all their diversity whatever their ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation, health, and social background. Care givers and grandparents are always welcome and targeted sessions such as the Saturday Dad’s Club, and Sensory Explorers for children with additional needs, help foster supportive new relationships.
Community – Engage - engaging with the local community is at the very heart of our ethos. We work closely with professional teams such as the Midwives, Health Visiting Team and Schools as well as strengthening bonds with local businesses though sponsorship and workplace volunteering.
Learning Together – Encourage – Giving our families the tools to create positive and lasting change. Feeling supported and well-informed is an essential building block in nurturing the next generation. Our fully-trained staff host skills courses, such as First Aid and Family Nutrition
Supporting – Enabling – Helping our families access the support and guidance needed to make the best start in their child’s life. Our staff provide advice and assistance, giving targeted support to families where needed, whether it is help with forms or signposting to other services.
