During this time of crisis, our centre wishes to support all Ukrainian families who are arriving to seek refuge in Thame, Chinnor and the surrounding areas. Please get in contact with us if you are anticipating hosting a family with children under 5.

We are here for you and can help provide support and guidance with a range of activities and services to support physical, mental, social and emotional development.

Vodafone Sim Cards for Ukraine

Our charity has been successfully chosen as part of Vodaphone’s scheme to support Ukrainian refugees with their connectivity in our communities.

We have 60 free Pay as You Go SIMs available with 20GB data each month plus unlimited calls and texts for a period of six months.

Please do get in touch with us via our contact form or call us on 01844 261163 if you know of an individual or family who would benefit from this.

Early Years Funding for Ukrainian Families

Families arriving in the UK through the Ukraine Family Scheme or the Homes for Ukraine (sponsorship) Scheme do have recourse to public funds and will be able to access the Department for Education’s free early education entitlements if they meet the existing eligibility criteria. Therefore, these families should apply for the entitlements through the usual routes and can find more information about how to do so here.
To clarify, families will still need to meet the standard funding criteria. There isn’t any proposal to change this.

The Family Information Service has developed a dedicated page with Support for Ukrainian Families
