Tour Our Centre Facilities

Our Facilities are open for sessions (such as 'Brilliant Babies' and 'Stay & Play' - please see our programme!); independent groups (such as 'Sing and Sign'); adult education seminars (e.g. child development and neurodiversity, see 'Events'); and are bookable by private groups for any purpose, such as hobby clubs, meetings and parties on both evenings and weekends (The Centre and the Small Meeting Room are bookable separately depending on your needs, see 'Bookings').

External Facilities include: disabled access lift, pushchair/pram storage, refuse bins, message board. See slideshow below (click arrows to left and right to scroll):

Foyer includes: Waiting area (typically for visitors seeing the midwifery team) and information boards, plus access to the toilets:

Main Hall: A large space with attached kitchen and access to the garden area, plus our equipment storage cupboard. We have collapsible tables (both child and adult height), chairs for children and adults, soft play mats, plenty of toys and art equipment. The Foyer and Kitchen both have child safety gates separating them from the hall.

Small Meeting Room: This room is typically set up for health visitors and midwives, but on evenings and days they are not using the space, it is perfect for small group meetings or even solo work if you're in need of a temporary office space:

Toilets: We have an accessible toilet, plus baby changing facilities, potties, and child toilet seats. Wipes, nappies, maternity pads and breast pads are available for those who need them:

Garden: Our garden has a play kitchen, a sandpit (open in the summer), a ball run, and messy play facilities (e.g. trays for water, sand etc.):

The outdoor play kitchen, which has a large wooden structure with metal bowls sunk in, pans, colanders and other equipment, some child-height wooden chairs. The garden is accessed from a door on the right-hand side of the main hall.

Kitchen: The kitchen is within the main hall, separated by a child safety gate. It is fully equipped with an oven, kettle, toaster, microwave, washing machine, pots, pans, cutlery, plastic and ceramic crockery, cleaning equipment etc. You are welcome to make use of everything in the kitchen if you book the hall for a party or other event:

Equipment: We have a huge number of toys, creative/art materials, floor coverings, puzzles, books, and permanent equipment (such as the indoor and outdoor play kitchens) suitable for all ages from baby to infant school age:
